Charlie Turns 6 Months

In just four days the little lady of the house will officially be 6 months old.  Time has NEVER flown by so fast for me, but I guess that's what happens with three little ones.  She's the little beam of sunshine in our house I tell you.  Her brothers cannot get enough of her and they are the only ones that can always make her laugh.  It's just the sweetest thing to witness the special love they all have for one another, now don't get me wrong they certainly have their sibling moments, but for the most part they are very pleased to share their snacks and plan what to buy the others for their birthdays.

Charlotte is quite the mover and the groover.  She entertains herself by literally rolling around the room to get around where she pleases.  The boys cracked up as I tried to get her to stay put on this lovely faux fur blanket for a picture but she just kept on rolling......

January

Well I feel like it's been quite awhile since I've posted.  January tends to be a slow month, photography-wise, but it's okay, it leaves time for album designing and being sick.  All three kids have been sick for the past couple weeks but it seems they are finally on the mend.  However, I think that my immune system is in for a battle this week.  Before I'm completely taken by this bug I wanted to at least get a post out.

It's hard not to get stir crazy during the winter, especially for me and the kids who spend the majority of our time outside when the weather is nice.  I'm definitely looking forward to spring time and especially photo-season.  But until then, I will cherish these times of play-doh, puzzle-making, and fort-building.

Boys being boys!  They are getting so big.  Seriously, I'm talking tattle-tailing, ear plugging, and the like! ;)

My sweet baby girl showing some love.

Charlotte getting ready to NOT eat her cereal.  I keep trying, but she's really not that interested.

A & L Wedding Day

I had another opportunity to second shoot for Cayla of Cnoelle Photography right before Christmas.  April and Lance had an absolutely breathtaking Christmas themed wedding.  From the lights to the candles, the girls' gorgeous red dresses, and the reception warmed by a gorgeous fireplace, it was an awesome and wonderful day.  The ceremony was beautiful and the bride stunning.  Just wanted to share a few of my favorites I took from the day.  Enjoy...

Happy New Year!

I have to say that 2012 was a wonderful year and God has blessed my family richly.  Firstly, my husband, our two boys and I welcomed our beautiful Charlotte Rae into the world.  She has been the greatest blessing we have experienced this year by far!

I am ever so thankful to my wonderful husband for listening to all my photography related concerns over this year especially stressed about juggling the motherhood of three and photography sessions.  To my family members and friends who have babysat and carried camera bags you are so appreciated and I know that I couldn't pursue any of this without your help and support.

My pregnancy with Charlotte certainly impacted my shooting schedule this past year but I was still able to shoot two weddings of my own as well as help out with a couple (thank you Cayla) as well.  I have gotten to catch up with past clients as well as meet many new and wonderful couples, kids, and families.

I caught myself smiling over and over again as I worked to create this post while sorting through my 2012 photo files, recalling names, jokes, anecdotes, and memories from all the different sessions.  I can't think of a better or more fulfilling job than getting to take part in and capture the most special and heartfelt moment's in people's lives for them to enjoy forever.  And with that said, here is to the year 2012, I thank all of those who intrusted me with the honor and responsibility of capturing your joy through my lens.  I am greatly looking forward to what 2013 has in store!

Pauline & Jesse: Engaged

This post is a very special one for a few reasons: Strings of white lights, a gorgeous barn, and a surprise proposal!  Not to mention that the man proposing was my little brother!

When my brother asked for my help coordinating his proposal to his long time love, Pauline, I couldn't have been more flattered or excited.  The plan: a romantic surprise proposal/photo shoot at the Glenburn Estate in Riverdale, NJ.  Disguised as my idea, Jesse requested that they would collect a memory chest of  special items and trinkets shared from their relationship together and he would ultimately present an engagement ring as his last addition to the box.  It was so special and sweet and I am so thrilled with the images that came as a result that they will have to cherish forever!

Stephanie & Kenneth: Engaged

Stephanie has been a good friend of mine for years and I was so excited to hear the news of her and Ken's engagement.  I am so looking forward to photographing their wedding day this coming June especially after working with them recently on their engagement shoot!  We met up at the Montville Public Library and spent some time inside before heading out into the cold for some shots.  We double checked to make sure their "love would keep them warm" and me warm and my brother warm (hanging with us for the shoot). :)

We were freezing but we really had a great time and I think the pictures show it!  Enjoy...
