Special Thanks

So the website has been launched, very exciting, although I still feel that it's a work in progress of course.  I already had to fix a typo (thank you Kevin for catching it) which I blame on many late night blurry eyed work sessions, and I'm in need of some new portraits of myself.  That bio photo has got to go!  Unfortunately, I don't like having my picture taken (funny, I know), so I'll really have to push myself to do that.  But this is all besides the point.

This might seem a little dramatic being that I haven't actually done anything all that special, but it's taken a lot of work to even where I am right now and it's meant a lot to me, so I wanted to make this post to give some well deserved thanks to all those who have supported me in getting to this point so far...WARNING: this will be very academy awards-y...

First of all, I want to give thanks to my Lord and Savior for blessing me with the opportunities I have had so far and carrying me through them.

Secondly, to my husband for buying me my first "fancy" digital camera (yes, first implying I will be needing an upgrade eventually, an investment dear, an investment) and for working so hard so that I am able to pursue this while still being a stay at home mom.

Next, to the two little loves of my life, Isaac and Jonah, for all the inspiration their beautiful little faces and spirits give me everyday to want to capture the love in all of our lives.

To my mom, for supporting me everyday of my life, for listening, for her patience, her encouragement, and the list could go on forever.  She's my mom and she's fulfilled that role wholly and completely..

Also, to my sister, for assisting me a number of times (with no pay), carrying heavy objects, restraining both large and small dogs, making overtired kids laugh, making me laugh, posing for me, bearing the elements, and the list goes on...

To Cayla, for responding to my late night "HELP ME" texts, emails, and phone calls.  For giving me my first second shooting opportunity, and for creating images that inspire me!

To Jody, my high school photography teacher, and now friend and neighbor.  For always encouraging me, giving me kind words, and telling me to "go for it".

To Pauline, for being my biggest facebook promoter.  :)

To the rest of my family and friends, thank you for being there for me and for all of the positive words.

And lastly, to everyone that's let me take take your picture: THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Stephanie & Rich Married

Stephanie and Rich were married on August 19, 2011 at the Greycliff in Moonachie, NJ.  They are such a fun-loving and sweet couple and were a joy to spend the day with.  Lots of laughs were had throughout the day by all.  The ceremony glowed pink and the reception paid homage to the groom's love of all things country, cowboy hats and all.  Thankfully we got our outdoor photo time, we beat the thunderstorm that evening by literally minutes!  Thank you so much Stephanie and Rich for letting Danielle and I be part of your day!  Best wishes for your life together...

All You Need Is Love: Jon Koones Artist Portraits

So yesterday I took a drive over to Harrison, NJ to visit Jon Koones' art studio.  Click here to see and read more about his work.  It was very inspiring to get to see the inner workings of a true artist's studio.  He talked about how he got started, the theme of his latest work, and even gave me a t-shirt that he designed, (which I will definitely be posting links to once they are available for sale).  Jon needed portraits for the new website he is working on and some pictures of his artwork.  See if you can figure out the theme of his latest artwork...

Marlin & Robinson Maternity Session

Marlin and Robinson are expecting their first baby in October, and we decided to meet at Saddle Brook County Park for their maternity shoot.  The sun was close to setting so we got such a lovely warm glow to work with (yay).  Their little one is going to be very blessed having such sweet and fun parents.  Here is their full shoot...Enjoy!
