Natia & Chris: Engaged

So excited to post these for a couple reasons:  First, is that the baby didn't come before I got to do this shoot!!! and second is that Natia had so many cute touches to bring to the session.  My gal Cayla and I had a great time shooting around the park and Chris and Natia were great sports climbing around all the big rocks for us.

Can't wait to photograph their wedding next June!  Until then, enjoy...

And thanks Cayla for all the detail shots!

Matthew & Lydia: Married

Yesterday, Matthew and Lydia got married!  It was a beautiful day full of love and the sharing of many memories.  Matthew is my brother-in-law, but I have known him ever since I was about 12 years old.  So he has been cracking me up for about 16 years now.

I had been anxiously awaiting the day for many reasons, but one huge reason was that my two little boys were asked to walk down the aisle.  Oh man, the stress!  And I am happy and relieved to report THEY DID IT!  They did such a great job!  I won't mention the pre-ceremony and post-ceremony tantrums, sleep deprevation, and delirium that was experienced by both the boys and myself and maybe their Aunt Danielle...but really, I prayed and prayed about those 60 seconds and am SO thrilled to say there were no tears or tantrums going down that aisle!  Of course I have no pictures to prove it because I was waving their goodie bags in the air to lure them down the aisle (yes, I bribed them).

I definitely didn't get many pictures being so pregnant and having the two little boys and their daddy in the wedding party, but I did get a few that I would like to share. And to Matt and Lydia, I look forward to making and sharing many more memories together in the years to come.   Enjoy...

Our Dad

Our Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it...
